Cooking will be an interesting adventure. Not only would you learn about traditional Balinese cuisine recipes, but you would be invited to learn about some tropical plants, vegetables, and natural spices that Balinese usually use as ingredients and materials for cooking.
This activity will be conducted in Pinge Tourist Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency. Generally, Pingenese are farmers and have a special habit of looking for vegetables and spices in the garden around the house. With one of the families, you will be accompanied on the adventure and do a short trek around the village to find some materials for cooking. While trekking, you can also enjoy the beautiful views of rice fields and the occasional social and cultural exchange with the local community. Some vegetables, spices, and local fruits are easy to find in this village.
The uniqueness of these cooking activities is as follows:
1. You will learn more about how to choose vegetables that are ready and good to cook.
2. The menu dishes will always be adapted depending on the seasons and the types of vegetables that you will find in nature.
3. Fruits as a dessert are also available in the garden based on season.
4. Uproot the cassava and re-plant it by cutting the stems of the recently harvested trees.
5. Food and drink will be served with special traditional Balinese elements.
6. Food and drinks are organic and non-pesticide
